Diamond Inferno Review

Even though a lot of providers try to develop authentic and fresh games with unique gameplay design and never-seen-before features, the classics are ever really gone and never lose their relevance as a large number of players are still crazy about old-school slots. Diamond Inferno is one of the games to fit the niche of classic slots and please those who seek quality new 'oldies'. Triple Edge Studios has taken a different approach to game development and managed to mix the modern and old-style approaches in their brainchild. The title comes with unique features that'll keep you in the right mood during the session as well as the classic design that will appeal to those who appreciate bona fide efforts of making 'modern classic' slots.

Diamond Inferno - Theme and Design

As for the visuals, the background as well as the reels are certainly well-designed and look great. However, don't expect to see anything except for the fire, since your screen will be covered with orange and red colors throughout the game. The animations, though, are of top-notch quality and add a touch of life to the game. The soundtrack is on spot too, as a rhythmic electro guitar accompanies you whilst you spin the reels, picking up the tempo whenever you hit the features.

The symbol collection is a set of 9 regulars split into highs and lows. The symbols do actually correspond to the theme, and include all familiar icons, though, given a touch of styling to furnish them with a modern look. On the lower side, we get colorful A-J royals. The premiums are better and include in ascending order dice, dollar signs, gold bars, red sevens, and stars. The last one is the most rewarding among the regulars, so keep an eye for the red-yellow star symbols. There is also a Wild symbol that is represented by a flaming 'Wild' logo, however, it does not have any value and acts as a substitute to any other regular symbols and appears only on the three middle reels.

You'll require at least 3 symbols on a line to get a win, while the highest rewards are given for matching 5 instances of the same symbol on a single payline.

  • Star - 100x of the bet.
  • Seven - 6x of the bet.
  • Gold Bar - 4x of the bet.
  • Dollar - 2.75x of the bet.
  • Dice - 2.25x of the bet.
  • A royal - 1.75x of the bet.
  • K royal - 1.5x of the bet.
  • Q, J royals - 1.25x of the bet.

You'll also benefit from Scatter symbols, which are the key to triggering in-game features as well as lead to pleasant instant cash prizes. Each Scatter symbol pays out individually depending on the row it landed, with the 1st row paying 1x of the bet and the 6th row 20x respectively.

Diamond Inferno - Technical Info

When it comes to the technical aspects, the devs have taken a straightforward path and stuck to the simplistic approach. The actions take place across a 5x3 sized grid with 20 ways to play. However, the reelset is expandable and one fully unlocked it reaches 5x6 in size, and the number of betways increases to 50.

Players drop in by setting bets from 0.2$ to 20$ per spin, and the game is powered by a medium volatile math model, which means that wins will occur fairly often, though, don't expect every spin to be successful, so adjust your bets wiser to survive in the long run. Triple Edge Studios are helping though with the hit frequency set to 32.1%, which means that theoretically, one out of 3 spins is going to be a winning one. The RTP is solid at 96.19%, which is slightly higher than the average within the industry. What is most impressive about Diamond Inferno is the maximum potential. You can hope for a whopping win of up to 11,750x of the bet.

Taking into consideration the max bet level of 20$, every high-roller can win 235,000$ on a single if playing with the max bet option available.

Diamond Inferno - Bonus Features

Let's take a look closer at the flaming core of the game, its features. Despite the simplistic approach to the design, the game is loaded with pleasant bonuses and special features. The first one to mention is Respins, which comes as the main feature of the game. The first win on the initial 5*3 layout awards player with a Respins and unlock the 4th row. If a second spin hits a win, the 5th reel unlocks, and a new Respin is awarded. In case the next one forms another winning combination, the grid fully unlocks, becoming 5*6, and the number of betways increases to 50.

Another exciting feature is a Multiplier Trail, which can be launched on a full-sized grid.

The Respins continue, and every win awards you with a growing multiplier, which is capped at 10x. The feature comes to an end if no wins appear, resetting the game field to its initial state. All the multipliers are then summed up, applying to the total win.

The last but not least bonus feature is a Scatter pay. The blue diamonds do not trigger any bonus games or free spins, giving players instant winnings instead. Prize values begin from 1x and increase, depending on their position on the grid. If a Scatter lands on the 6th row, you're in luck, as it pays out 20 times of the stake.

The 200 Spins Experience in Diamond Inferno

With the question to ourselves - will Diamond Inferno turn out to be as good as on paper to get us into it - we started our exciting adventure of 200 spins in Triple Edge Studio's title. Please remember, that our experience may significantly differ from what you are going to get, as every session is unique and the outcomes are ever the same.

We set our bet to 1$ per spin and launched the autoplay mode. The hypnotizing music started immersing us from the first spins, though, we didn't manage to fully savor it as our attention was caught by the action on the screen. It didn't take long for the reelset to get fully unlocked, however, we didn't make it to the multipliers and began from the start. We had already lost 15 bucks by the moment it happened, so we crossed our fingers and hoped for a new chance to land some decent wins to appear. Landing at least 3 consecutive wins turned out to be quite a challenging task, though, we didn't lose our hope. Even though the first 50 spins were uneventful, we managed to get to the multipliers and land a nice win of 18x by the moment we reached 50th spin, and then we targeted at the 10x multiplier, yet, not so long after it we landed 3 Scatters and got another 18x win. During the first 100 rounds, we managed to get to the 5x multiplier, however, it left much to be desired.

The second and final 100 spins were fruitful. We almost immediately landed 4 instances of Scatter symbols and hit the win of 24x of the bet. We landed 3 and 4 stars a couple of times and even got a win of 57x.

The game treated us well even considering the loss of 7$. However, no regrets as the session were extremely fun and entertaining. Perhaps, if we waited a bit longer we could make it to massive payout as it usually happens in medium volatile slots. Nevertheless, we hope you have better luck with your spins than we had.

Diamond Inferno - Final Thoughts

All said and done, the game really fits the niche of classic slots and even manages to stand out from this pile thanks to the unique feature set and meticulous approach of Triple Edge Studios to the design. However, there are a couple of issues to mention that may spoil the overall impression, though, if you're an experienced gambler you won't even bother about that stuff.

The first one concerns the volatility. It's claimed to be medium, yet Diamond Inferno seemed too brutal at times. Even though the wins occur fairly often thanks to the high hit frequency percentage, we still somehow managed to land almost 10 non-winning spins, and all the wins between had been not more than 2x of the bet. It may not appeal to less risky players, though, there's enough chance to benefit in the long run.

Diamond Inferno comes with a pretty interesting gameplay one hand, however, on the other hand, if really lacks bonus features. The base game may feel like boredom since the only thing to assist you are the Wilds while getting to the fully expanded reelset and especially the 10x multiplier is quite complex. Triple Edge Studios omitted Free Spins round even though the Scatters are included in their brainchild. Oddly enough, a free bonus game could have enlivened the gameplay drastically.

In a nutshell, everything else in Diamond Inferno may be considered a plus and may be the reason players will be drawn to spin the reels on it.

Diamond Inferno is a 5 reel, 20 payline slot from Triple Edge Studios with a % RTP. Click to find out more and try the free play demo! Our Verdict. Diamond Inferno won't draw players in with its graphics, but its bonus features are very alluring. The volatility and payouts are also great.
