Hypernova 10K Ways Review

ReelPlay is milking their initial success with Hypernova Megaways for all it’s worth, and Hypernova 10K Ways brings very little, if anything, new to the table. As you understand from the title, you get 10,000 ways to win in this installment, but other than that it’s pretty much the same game as the aforementioned Megaways version.

If you don’t want a game that keeps you guessing with regards to win ways, this version might be worth checking out. That being said, this is the first game in the series that comes across as superfluous. It’s still all about the hold-and-win style Bonus Respins feature, where jackpot symbols up to 2,000x can be landed, but the overall max win is somewhat lower than in the Megaways version.

Hypernova 10K Ways Features

The atom wild slides in on the top horizontal reel only, and it steps in for all regular pay symbols to help you form winning combos. Premium symbols pay between 2 and 100 x your stake for 6-oak, and the wild holds no value of its own.

All winning symbols are removed from the grid via the Cascading Reels feature, and new and/or existing symbols drop down to fill the gaps. This process repeats as long as you keep winning, and you can thus land indefinite extra wins from a single paid round.

You need to land at least 6 scatter cash symbols to trigger the Bonus Respins round. The triggering money symbols become sticky, while the rest of the grid is cleared.

You get 3 respins for starters, and the tally resets for every new non-blank symbol you land. The cash scatters come with prizes between 1 and 100 x your stake.

All new cash scatters that land become sticky as well, and you can also land 4 different jackpot symbols during the feature. These award bronze, silver, gold and platinum prizes worth 10, 50, 250 and 2,000 x your stake, respectively, and you can win more than one per round (bronze and silver only). All winnings are summed up when you run out of respins, or fill the screen with symbols.

The 200 Spins Hypernova 10K Ways Experience

You get to see 1 and a half minute of base game play before we trigger the Bonus Respins feature at 1:30 into the 4:24-minute highlights video. We managed to land a single Bronze jackpot symbol, and you can see for yourself how much we got away with in total by hitting the play button below.

Review Summary

If you, for whatever reason, don’t enjoy the dynamic reels/ways experience offered by the original Megaways version, Hypernova 10K Ways might be for you.

Hypernova 10K Ways Slot Pic 5

It’s pretty much the same game, but here you’ll be cruising with 10,000 win ways active at all times. The price you pay however, is a somewhat lower overall potential of 5,663x your stake, but the RTP is a tad higher.

The cascading reels animation takes a bit too long for our liking, but overall it’s a pleasant voyage into deep space accompanied by soothing ambient music. The hold-and-win style Respins feature comes with the same jackpots as the Megaways version, and overall this release feels a bit superfluous and unnecessary.

  • Top sliding reel wild
  • Hold & Win style Respins feature
  • Win jackpots up to 2,000x your stake
